Readable

Passwords that read like words.

Real words, capitalisation and a measured number of character swaps — enough to satisfy a site's rules without becoming unreadable.

Quick presets

Generate several at once

Choose 5, 10 or 20 to compare candidates side by side. Nothing is stored — the list disappears when you close the tab.

Substitutions are not what makes this strong

Turning read into r3ad looks clever, but attackers apply those swaps automatically. Every common substitution rule is in every cracking tool. What actually protects you is the number of independent random choices: which words were picked, from how large a list, and how many of them there are.

That is why KeyMint substitutes a controlled number of letters rather than all of them, counts exactly how many bits each swap adds, and warns you when heavy substitutions are doing less work than an extra word would.

Lock the parts you like

Each component is a token you can lock or re-roll on its own. Keep the word you like, change the number, and the rest of the password stays exactly as it was.

Generated entirely in your browser

KeyMint never receives your passwords. There is no account, no database, no server-side generation and no password history. Close the tab and everything you generated is gone.

Nothing is transmitted

Passwords are never sent anywhere — not to KeyMint, not to an analytics service, not to a breach-checking API, and never placed in a URL.

Nothing is stored

No local storage, no cookies, no IndexedDB. Pinned passwords live in the page's memory and vanish when you close it.

Real randomness

Every choice comes from crypto.getRandomValues() with rejection sampling, so no character or word is more likely than another.

Other ways to make a password

Each mode is the same generator with a different shape. Nothing you make in one is carried into another.
